These terms explain the fees, check-up offers and payment arrangements for dental services at Woonona Dentists. Fees are a guide, and your dentist will explain the costs that apply to you before any treatment begins.

Dental fees shown are a general guide, as dental needs differ. Individual treatment costs may differ and should be discussed with your dentist.
Any examinations or X-rays you need will be outlined in your treatment plan.
Fees can change with your dental health condition, which may increase or decrease the total.
For more complex care, we will provide a written quote so you can check your cover with your health fund and make an informed decision.

Check-up and Clean (First Visit)

Gap-free with eligible cover or capped at $250 for adults, $150 for children without an OPG or $200 with an OPG. Please call us on (02) 4284 4486 to confirm what applies to you.

Clean and polish
Digital X-rays (if required)
OPG (whole mouth X-ray), if clinically required
Fluoride treatment (if needed)

Check-up and Clean (Return Visit)

Gap-free or capped. Please call us on (02) 4284 4486 for the current fee and to confirm what applies to you.

If it has been more than 2 years since your last appointment, new patient check-up and clean fees apply.

How Gap-Free and Capped Fees Work

The gap-free offer applies to patients with an eligible health fund that includes dental cover, within their available limits. If your health fund rebate covers the fee, there is no out-of-pocket expense for you. If your fund pays less than the fee, you pay the difference. The offer cannot be used with any other offer.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Wisdom Tooth Removal: From $350 – $600
We can remove wisdom teeth, including impacted teeth and multiple teeth in one appointment, under local anaesthesia or IV sedation (medicine through a vein to help you relax) when clinically indicated.

We work with most major Australian health funds through our HICAPS terminal for electronic health fund claims. Eligible claims can be processed at the end of your appointment, and you pay only the gap. Some procedures may need a manual claim.
Woonona Dentists is a preferred provider for BUPA, HCF, Westfund, CBHS and Smile.com.au. For any other fund, please ask about your fund.
Major services such as crowns and implants are usually covered only under higher-tier policies. Waiting periods, annual limits and pre-approval requirements may apply. Please check with your health fund before you book.
smile.com.au members may be eligible for discounts. Eligibility depends on smile.com.au and your health fund, so please ask us to check your fund before your visit.

We provide a written treatment plan with itemised costs and Australian Dental Association (ADA) item numbers, the codes for each dental service, and we discuss it with you before you make any decisions.
If we find another procedure may be needed during treatment, we will discuss it with you before proceeding.
You are not obliged to go ahead with any recommended treatment. You can take time to consider your options or seek a second opinion.
All treatment is subject to clinical assessment and your dentist's recommendation.

We accept cash, credit and debit cards and EFTPOS. Please ask us if you would like to pay another way.
Payment plan providers include MediPay, Total Lifestyle Credit, Zip and Afterpay. SuperCare can help you apply for the early release of superannuation. Each provider sets its own eligibility, charges and repayment terms, so please read the provider's current information before you decide.
